I was at Death Valley over the weekend for a company retreat. We stayed in the Furnace Creek area and I was amazed at how many bikers were there. Loads of enduros and DS bikes. It was mostly a sea of orange in the parking lot....... Anybody ridden there?
This is the time to ride there. The Racetrack (or Racetrack Playa) is one popular ride. Never ridden there myself.
I lived at furnace creek for two year back in the late 90's. I had a bike at the time but never got to ride. I'm an HVAC guy so there was way to much to do.
Some of the riders were probably the group from my local forum joining up with the Flying Monkeys annual DS tour out there.
I was there for a week in 3/08. I was just thinking tonight how nice it would be to go back down this winter.
