Yeah, our switches are completely different, well I mean mine is still a button, but nothing like that. I'll post a couple pictures and you can see what mine looks like.

I don't know, the switches are the same but they're different at the same time, I agree that they both work the same way. But does the way the button is laid out what makes the difference? So confused.

Emailing them back again with these two pictures, hoping for the best here.

Jason just emailed me back after I sent the 2 pictures that I uploaded on this thread. He said that it will work but he's going to double check with tech before my order goes out on Monday just to be sure. This next part is taken directly from the email he sent, I will also post the picture he sent me below. Maybe this will help clear up any problems you are having.

"Sorry if I didn’t explain this well. I have attached a picture of the #55 ‘knee’. The pointed areas are what touch that switch, but there is no additional tab needed (like other ASV levers have bolt on tabs)."

Does this help you at all?

I´m just as confused as you are. Is the jagged tip (with the letters ASV on it) supposed to activate the switch? I´ll wait until you try the ones you are getting and maybe get the UK shop to change one of mine to the new serial number that you´re getting.

Best of luck! We´ll manage it somehow.

Yes, you would be correct; the jagged tip there with ASV on it is supposed to activate the switch. It seems like they should work, I still have a little wait ahead of me until I'll have my levers; they ship out on Monday. I'll be sure to post back once I have them, I'll take some more pictures as well.

For some reason I think he may have overlooked an important piece, or maybe he is missing a piece that is necessary to work the switch. I have no doubt that these will work on the 630, from the pictures I've been sent by ASV themselves and from the information and explanations they gave me; it seems like an easy job to switch out the stock ones for these new ones.

So I´ve now done this one and it DOES fit .... perfectly! Can post pics. I would definitely recommend this grip as it fits the hand like my old Luger pistol. And it looks the dog´s.

    And thanx to

Please look at my post " ASV levers that fit a SMS 630" . Look at my side by side photos and you will see that they do work - just swap out any pins from the old to the new levers. They have worked perfectly from the start. I may have been the first to do this swap on this forum but never had any problems. See my post below :

Since I purchased my SMS 630 last July I have always wanted to change the levers to a short adjustable type that were also unbreakable. Through the help of Jason Gilbert at ASV Inventions
(ext. 108), I was able to decide on a C6 Clutch Lever and a C5 Brake Lever that were installed yesterday with no problems at all. The best part was no modifications were needed and both the brake light switch and clutch switch function properly as did the original levers. I also purchased a Clutch Perch Dust Cover to complete the "look". The part numbers are listed below.

CDC602-SK (SHORT BLACK C6 CLUTCH LEVER)
BRC555-SK (SHORT BLACK C5 BRAKE LEVER)
KCDC03 (CLUTCH DUST COVER FOR MAGURA)

I did decide to use the original barrel and plunger for the clutch installation so I could retain the red adjustment knob. If I did the installation again it would probably take less than 30 minutes for both sides. I hope this will help some of you that have been looking like I have for a long time.

My 630 brake pod is definitely different (the clutch is OK).

Have sent the original handbrake lever back to Performance Parts in Daventry and they´re going to find me the right one

Got my levers today, fitted both on the bike without any problems. The only thing I'm having difficulty with is this damn ASV clutch perch.

Anyone know where I'm supposed to attach the damn thing? I don't get it at all.. didn't realise a piece of rubber with 2 screws in it would give me the most trouble out of anything.

Any feedback would be great, this is the last thing I need to do to finish the job off!

Never mind, someone lead me in the wrong direction when ordering the perch. The perch I ordered will not work with this clutch lever, the clutch needs a specifically designed perch for the ASV levers.

EDIT: The clutch needs no dust cover at all, you can have one specially made by ASV but I'm told it isn't needed.

Hope this helps anyone in need.

Question for you guys... The levers listed above from ASV (602 and 555) are designed for KTM 690/990s (clutch)(among other bikes) and Ducati/Aprilia Mille (brake)(among others).

If I don't feel like shelling out for the ASVs since I'm putting Acerbis brush guards on over them and really just need shorty levers...would shorties designed for KTM 690/990s and the respective models of Ducati/Aprilias fit my Husky 630? Make sense to you guys? Seems it would work from my end but before I go ordering up a bunch of stuff that doesn't fit I'd like some other opinions...
