I have been thinking about fitting heated grips to my 2010 WR250. Does anyone know if the stater makes enough power to run them?

probably. Typical power for grip heaters is in the 35W neighborhood.

    good luck.

It might depend which ignition you have on your 2010. The older ignition has a 55w and somewhere near the end of 2010 Husky started using Ducati ignitions which had some problems like not wanting to start with the headlight hooked up and a few even failed which was unheard of on the older 55w ignition. I thought that the Ducati ignition started in 2011 but in other threads people have posted that their 2010s had Ducati ignitions.

How do I find out what ignition system I have? What do I look for?

    If it's 2010 it'll most likely be kokusan(good). 2011+ is the ducati(less good)
Kokusan has little black box above reg/rec on main down tube from headstem

The Ducati ignition is larger, black and says Ducati on it!
