Cam bearing replacing

    Well that was a lot easier than I expected! My jig worked perfectly, and the gears came off with a lot less pressure than I expected. New bearings fitted, and gears replaced in less than 30 minutes. Got to get myself a 20 tonne press. What a great bit of kit! Just have to drop a couple of spot welds on the gears to make sure it doesn't move, and all done. IMG20180911171458.jpg

    Just started stripping my noisy 2009 TE250 motor. I had the top off when I first heard a ticking noise, couldn't feel slack in the cam at that point. 20 miles later and it was making a lot of noise. Cams out and 1 bearing (gear end inlet) is really loose and 2 of the others have some play in them.
