Ok, CafeHuskyites! Rumors of our demise were apparently premature! We have been granted more time to get affairs in order here, and hopefully DirtDame and I will eventually be able to run CafeHusky the way Coffee had originally intended. I apologize for any inconvenience or heartache the temporary closure may have caused, and I'm hoping you're all as thrilled as we are to have this awesome community available to all again! Please bear with us as we work through the necessary steps to bring CafeHusky back up to speed. DirtDame and I both appreciate your patience and dedication during these crazy times!
Phew! I was so bummed the other day when I went to check in. I couldn’t help but think about the LIBRARY of info that was gone and all the effort of members (some of which are no longer with us) that would have perished. This site the only place Im aware of to find good vintage husky info. Im sure the Italian bikes owners feel the same. This resource is irreplaceable. Period. Hope the wheels can stay on. Tremendous thank you to Dirt Dame and Woodschick for getting it back up and putting this much effort into this virtual place. Glad I came back one more time before I gave up. I tried probably 15 times over the weekend in disbelief that the site was actually gone.
Thank you for your leap of faith, 87Husky500xc! And, yes, I was totally inconsolable at the thought of this place just disappearing into the ether That would've been a tragic loss for everyone here, and for all those who will come after us! All the effort that has been expended here by our members...posting How-To videos and links and sharing information to keep our bikes going, posting photos of all the neat things we've done with/to our bikes, helping others find a better way to do things...just an enormously vast wealth of information that has been compiled here over the years. I'm really hoping this transition goes smoothly and that we will be on our way to making CafeHusky better than its ever been. Keeping the lights on is the first step!
This is great news! Glad to see everything was saved. Of course, you guys are always welcome over at HQVadventure, please come say hi once in a while.
Thanks again VV, for welcoming us CH folks over to your forum. I don't think I can take one more premature death of Cafe Husky, plus I felt a little lost and incomplete, thinking that this time was for good. Fingers crossed that we will soon be the owner of the domain name. Then we can hope to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and not the train.
I know, Kevin! It was just an awful feeling seeing the lights go out. This place has brought some very cool people into my orbit...including you!...and I just had a really hard time with it. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Thank you, vintageveloce! And thank you for your kindness and willingness to help. Just goes to show the premium quality of people we have here
It was like a punch to the gut when I checked in this morning. This site changed my life for the better. Bravo DD and Woodsie! What can we do to help?
I thought i was seeing things , picked up my phone and don’t know why but my finger hit this icon and here it is . I thought it was just a fluke then i read this thread . I can’t tell you how many times i would log on to see what’s new . THANK YOU !
Ok, Like others have stated above upon logging in a few days ago I was gutted to discover the message stating the Cafe was done for good..... So glad the folks at the controls are still working at keeping the lights on. Thank you Thank you Thank you! to Dirtdame, Woodschick & I'm sure others behind the scenes making it happen! I don't think I could keep my Italian era huskies running without the wealth of historical knoledge compiled here & always helpful input from current contributors. All the best, Bugs
