Putting my 78 390 back together, and I'd like to avoid using run of the mill zip ties to keep cables routed securely. Some of my vintage Japanese bikes had black reusable cable ties but nothing I salvaged is long enough to wrap around the Husqvarna frame tube. Just wondering what some of you have used for a more professional look than zip ties.

A number of options are available. Vintage British bikes had soft alloy ties (black or silver) and some used rubber straps. A variation of the run-of-the-mill tie is the ladder tie - same configuration, just a bit more distinctive.

If you want a minimal look, clear vinyl tape works good - same size and look as electrical tape, just clear.

Regular black ones on all mine, just give the clutch cable as big as gentle possible loop, down near the bottom
when tying it to the front frame tube. I've seen plenty of people who complain about how stiff their clutch
cable is, i tell them cut some zip ties where it's mount to the tube, you only need 1.
