I already read about the cable being a little short but I am just setting up my new bike and would like to know the best routing for the stock cable so I don't make it worse than it could already be. Does the cable go in the front or back of the handlebar clamps? Does anyone have a pic of their stock setup?
    Thanks,
    Grump

I did some googling and see some just over the top of the handle bar clamp and some under the handle bar and between the clamp. I guess some pics may or may not have the new Barnett cable...
    Thanks,

My stock cable was routed behind the clamp and bars. When I swapped it out for a Barnett cable, I routed the longer cable under the bar in between the clamp risers.

For anyone else who has gone Barnett, did you attempt to take the rubber boots off the stock cable and install on the Barnett? I have not given it a try, didn't know if it was necessary or even a good idea.

Kelly (motosportz) did not mention it, but he also sells the 1.5 inch longer cable for the 610 for 10-15 dollars less than the barnett. Important knowledge when we are all trying to get more for our money!

Thanks guys for the info. I routed it and adjusted the levers and bars and so far so good. I have dealt with Kelly before and that Rooster jacket is great!
    Thanks,

I’m sure everyone has their favorite routing but here is mine. Between the bar clamps.

I just picked up my 610 today and noticed the stock cable sticks out. I pushed it in and tried the lever and it was not near as smooth as the stock location. Does the longer cable allow you to reroute it in tighter and keep it smooth? Has anyone gone to a juice clutch? I like it on my 510.

I used a Barnett cable which is 1.5" longer than the stock unit.

As others have posted, I routed the cable under the bar, between the clamps. Operation is pretty smooth as the cable is coated and I've noticed it's movement is less notchy/jerky than the stock unit.
