    400 CR
    Any one been able to decipher the numbers stamped on Akront rims? The old mud catchers have:

    ME-1471
    ME-1951
    ME-3590
    -40-

    I thought they might be a date code similar to tires, but the above numbers don't fit that format. Any clues?

    On Maico’s the Akront date code seems to be stamped like 4-80 . We take that as 4th month 1980 . Could the 1st 2 digits be the week followed by the year ?
