86 400 head gasket questions

    Is it installed right side up? Try flipping it. Depending on where you bought the gasket you may need to do some matching with an X acto knife.

    That is what I'm wondering. It only has the two water jacket openings. I would have thought it would of had 4.

    Nah the gasket is like that so the water flows in the back of the cylinder forward up through the gasket and out the back of the head . If it were open everywhere then the water would just follow the shortest path
