83 430 Troubleshooting Help

    Did you ever get it right ? , Sorry I just found this and thought I might add another trial and error to the mix. If you think your wet side seal is leaking (clutch side) drain your tranny and do a quick ride ( I mean quick 3 to 5 mins ) You don't have to go through the gears just maybe 1st and 2nd then go around the house and back. If your wet clutch side crank seal is leaking you will know it right away, the bike will still smoke a little from left over oil but it should be nice and peppy . Enough to where it will be noticeable that the bike actually wants to run decent.

    I haven't had time to mess with it. Been super busy with riding and racing and will get back to it soon. I am going to split the cases and replace the seals and maybe the crank bearings while I am at it.
