Supposed to show up today ... via Can Par I’ll get some pics up ... and most likely be asking some questions .... the shipping was a crazy good price .. little over 17 dollars plus a export fee little over 11 dollars from Colorado ... goes to show you how some charge such high shipping ... and for a package weighing over 37 lbs ... seller was awesome to deal with ...told me to go to a 14/50 on the sprockets ... looking forward to this conversion ... : )

I don’t have a link ... just word of mouth that the earlier Huskys came with a 6speed ... mine being a 2010 came with the 5speed ... better all around gearing ... lower first gear ... evenly spaced out gearing with 6th to open er up in the open stuff .... one of my buddy’s has a 360 Husky with the 6speed , that thing rips pretty good .

Oh, I see. I do know of this 5-to-6 speed thing, but have not done it. And for link I was just wondering if you had a bike build thread going somewhere. I always like the bike builds... me thinks you should start one!

    I had a 2002 KTM 380, great bike... but a 5-speed, so I get it.

I know I have made this point before but the shims on both sides of the counter shaft are case specific. You need to use the spacers off your stock 5-speed when installing the 6 speed. Trannies are built within very exacting tolerances, cases not so much. You are looking for about .005" of play back and forth on the countershaft.

My 360 would easily pull over 90 mph with stock gearing. That's fast on any single track or even two track.

That’s a really good tip Wallybean ... that is on the top of my note list in bold and underlined writing ... : ) Right now I’m looking at a countershaft sprocket ... I know I can go to a 14 tooth ... not sure if a 15 tooth will fit ...instead of a snap ring retaining it ... it looks like a bolt and dome or spring washer retains it on this gearbox... found some Supersprox brand ones ... unfortunately the parcel never showed on Friday ... so most likely now it looks like Monday ...figured the Athena gasket kit is a good brand .... along with new bearings and needles for that one gear .... you being the first I believe to do this conversion ... and you have well documented it ... I have everything on file/notes ... : ) .... I know I’m late in the game to do this ... 10yr old Husky .... it’s got some good stuff already on it .... this is gonna be an interesting project thanks to you

I also had a KTM 380, really a great bike
when push came to shove I still have my 360 with a 6 speed
nothing against my Katoom just short 1 gear

The 15 tooth is the right sprocket to use in my experience. It is tight to the swing arm but there is clearance. I still have one that is probably about 70% life left if you want it.

Awesome , I will let you know forsure ...just purchased this ... think it’s what I need to mount the sprocket to the countershaft ... clean it up ... look for a oring for the shaft the collar slips over 3CD4832D-012D-4A21-B2D1-F5FB74E66F4E.png
