250 Mag Head Bolt Torque

    Guys: I've found some conflicting info on proper torque for the head nuts on a 250 Mag. One says 40 N-m, the other 45 N-m. Also, neither source specifically states what the torque is to be on the two head screws.

    Anyone have the straight dope?

    You must have a 75 or 76. The nuts are to 25Nm and the 2 screws are to 20Nm. The 74 mag ( no screws) has your torque value of 40Nm. I have a shop-parts manual on cd if you need one. Hope that helps. John.
