Thinking of adding another bike. plated duel sport. anybody have any experience with the 20 and 21 Beta 350 RRS, seems to have lost significant weight in this generation. weight is a issue for me. reviews are positive. Great looks.

The racers I have talked to on Betas are very happy with them.

I have a 2012 350 RS with a carb. It works good even at 8000 ft. Really like the wide ratio trans. Point being they spend some time refining these bikes to suit their dual purpose and do it pretty well.

Thanks for the reply's. I guess I'am hoping the 350 RRS will take me through the next 10 years or so. (turning 60 in the fall) loved my te310. really used it as a plated dirt bike with minimum pavement use. I like a light weight 4 stroke, loved the feel and ergos of the Husky. I usually keep my bikes a long time, nice to see both riders who answered do also.
To the best of my research the 20/21 beta 350RRS should be about 7 lbs lighter overall than my 2011, that would be nice.

word from my close crew , one of who is our local Beta dealer. 350 is quite a bit more rev happy/racey engine. a couple of our crew have been on the 390 and all say that is a sweet spot machine. the guys that ride the 390 that I know are A level guys as well as one on the 430. But just wanted to share that the word on the 350 from guys who know is that it is a great machine but more hyper than the other tweener size machines like the 390. I asked if the Beta 350 is then like the KTM350 and they said not as hyper as the KTM engine.

I had the 09te310 for ten years. Loved it and never had any real problems with it. I now have 2020 rrs350 beta and love it even more.
It puts a bigger smile on me, I just turn 60. I never tried the 390 so no advice there.

Thanks for the info. I don't mind if the 350RRS feels hyper "Racy" then the larger size Betas. I always felt the 2011 Te310 felt racy and I loved to crank that throttle, enjoyed that midrange hit from the engine. When in the right gear. As long as the 350RRs can do tight single trac trails, rough washed out trails and higher speed trails and farm roads. Only other option is KTM (don't want) and a leftover 2020 wr250f (dealer says could possibly plate it for me but wants to do full DOT upgrade. But wont guarantee a plate. was possible in the past. (had a new 2003 klx400R that the dealer plated)
huskyte310, how do you compare the overall feel to your 09 310 to the Beta?

The 2020 350rrs is not hyper racy but really fun to ride. I think it is perfect for tight single trac trails i ride. The bike is good stock, not corked up. It takes about 20 to 30 hours to loosen up and then it gets better. To me it almost feels like a two stroke. Get a lower cooling fan switch and get rid of the green valve under the gas cap. It it street legal, you will not be disappointed.

Interesting info, thanks. I always loved how the 310 could change direction at any speed far supieor to my klx400R (green DRZ) was very forgiving if a bad line was chosen. the TE was resprung for my 170 lbs and used a thin fork oil. great handling bike. Does the Sachs suspension on the Betas feel as good as the reviews suggest? I don't mind a respring if needed (should be ok) or playing with oil and oil levels but revalve out of the question. The 20 yamaha wr250f seems to be valved for high speed open desert type riding and possibly require a re-valve for my type riding.

First bike i did not respring or revalve. Set the rear sag, set forks to forth line so i can touch the ground better, soften compression and rebound on both ends.
    I am 5,5 and 170 pounds.

Thanks to all who responded. just put a down payment on the 2021 Beta 350RRS I was looking at. The dealer let me ride it right from the showroom floor. Felt really good.
