Hey all. I just wanted to pass along that next weekend (May 4-5) is Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association's annual charity race that benefits the Make Promises Happen program. This program provides activities and social times for special needs individuals. The program provides camping trips, ski trips and other activities in which many of these individuals wouldn't otherwise get to participate. So, the money goes to a great cause and you get to have fun while doing it. Campers and spectators are welcome, so feel free to come out for the entire weekend and please spread the word to anyone you know with a dirt toy! We also have practice time, so if you want to try out the track before you sign up, then just show up during the practice times on the flyer ($5 gate fee applies). Special events to raise extra money for MPH: Bike/Quad team race Mini bike team race (65cc/50cc only) Side by Side race Vintage motorcycle race Wheelie contest Like I said before, all proceeds from this event go to Make Promises Happen, INCLUDING the net proceeds from the regular OCCRA points races. We are also offering a weekend membership for those that would like to participate in the OCCRA races but will not be racing the entire season. Its not too late to race for points, though, so you could also sign up for an annual membership! Also note that OCCRA is on the 2013 Husqvarna Contingency program so here's another opportunity to grab some Husky bucks!
