Howdy. I have a 2011 TXC 511 Its leaking gas out the tube at the bottom of the motor when the motors running. Its never bothered me that much but would really like to get this figured out because the tanks not that big to begin with. I'm scared to go out for more than 40 miles with out refueling because its leaking. Not sure if it leaks while riding but only notice at idle. or when i stop and shut it off. Any suggestions? The bikes only got about 700 miles on it.

No it will cause a vacuum and fuel will not flow. They are there for a reason.

I cant stand the smell of gas when I am riding in the heat. I never smell it anymore.

This keeps dirt out of the tank vent and burns any left over fumes.

I've never had a single issue. Not even laying it upside down on its side.

Is that Under the tank? What bike is that on?
so let me get this straight... You run a hose from that which is installed somewhere on the tank to the air box? So does this mean that vent replaces the 2 OEM ones?

Mine is on my 511, on the right hand side of the air box, next to the oil breather line. My front tank feeds to the rear tank line on the left hand side. The vent on the right rear, feeds to the new nipple on the air box. System is fully tested for a year now, works perfectly.

Tyler659, I'm not sure if you resolved your issue but on my 2011 TXC 511 I had a fuel leaking when I started my bike. After investigating I found there is a formed high pressure hose that runs from the bottom of the white tank up along the back of it to the injector (or whatever it is) of throttle body area. It takes a few choice words to replace and it's easier to get to if you remove the tank to tank hose that is in same area on left side. I replaced mine with high pressure fuel injection hose from auto parts for $5.00 temporarily while waiting for $30.00 formed hose to come. I also purchased a variety pack of high pressure hose clamps. They have a hex head and worked great. 20180905_150442.jpg 20180905_150604.jpg

Dirtbikeerdad, these guys were referring to the vent hose (and weird 2-way valve) that vents the main tank to the atmosphere (the header tank vents to the main tank), back in 2014.

but, just to add to your comments- the pressurized hose from the bottom of the header tank to the throttle body/fuel rail can be any fuel injector rated hose (and it's only 50psi); the hose clamps too. I believe the only reason for the formed hose is a pollution requirement to prevent out-gassing (trying to keep gasoline vapors out of the air) which isn't a huge deal on a 10" hose that probably isn't pressurized at all for 90% of it's life.

IMO go with the soft, flexible and cheap stuff. just make sure it's not being abraded or heated.
