As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
and in keeping with the "move foward...not backward" thought process...we will have a part 2.
This will be held 14 thru 16 October 2011. For those who are unaware of this annual event as it goes into its fifth year, it is a get-together of Husqvarna owners and riders as well as all brands vintage riders.
The Gathering is strictly for fun, not for profit. Proceeds from the event will help support several Team USA riders efforts who performed so well during the arduous conditions the 86th I.S.D.E in Finland.
The rocky stream crossing has taken on a "new look"!
But what the hey...whats a NE ride without oodles of rocks. Those that rode it know he rest is very rock free (Well I think Fred excavated quite a few with the TC449)
There was one tree that got totaly uprooted and it was huge and healthy so I am thinking the winds must have been wicked there. Was in the "mood" doing trail work so cut in some more new stuff. Not too wet considering all the rain we got here. Grass track held up niceley and actually all the rain "smoothed" the surface.
Scotty,Have fun guys! I will be thinking about you with an ice pack on my knee. I am getting an ACL replacement on the 12th. My season ends this weekend unfortunately.
Coincidentally, I wrecked my knee at the Ridge Run in 04 and have been putting off getting it fixed.
