I took my 2008 Husqvarna Te250 out of storage and it will not start.
Drained the fuel tank before I put it away.
Today I installed a new battery and new gas,
Bike will not start. A few facts below:
    1) New battery installed
    2) fresh gas in tank
    3) When I turn on ignition -green headlight and neutral lights are lit
    4) I get that mechanical noise when the key is turned on
    5) when I press the start button, the bike cranks over but won't start
    6) removed the fuel tank and pulled the fuel pump.

My thought was that the filter attached to the fuel pump might be clogged?
Any thoughts what else to check?
    Thanks

Are you pulling in the clutch lever
Check that the HT lead is pushed in properly-both ends
Check the spark plug to see if it is clean and the gap is ok

    some guesses/hints:

maybe pull the fuel line off the injector, turn the key (or whatever you need to do) so the pump cycles and pushes the last of the old, remaining fuel out of line. (catch it in a container. & FIRE DANGER... right?). This also lets you know the pump & filter is probably okay (but what about the internal fuel lines- cracked?)

if everything was fine when you put it away, the odds are it's gonna start (although I have a hard time figuring out how the fuel may have gone bad in the line).

    Try the kickstarter.
Take the air cleaner off (...and also check for mice; exhaust too. Chewed wires? wasp's nest? etc)
Can you feel air moving out of the exhaust while you're cranking it over?
Try a blast of starting fluid in the throttle body.
Put the bike in a warm room.
Bad kill button (or has a bug in it)

Hopefully, the oil pump has rotated enough to pick up oil (I'd guess it would need about 5-10 seconds)

    good luck.

Is the mechanical noise the fuel pump priming? Have you checked the fuses for any corrosion? You might need to replace the filter since the fuel probably gummed up. Search through older husky riders threads on pulling the injector and cleaning it.
