I tried the FMF for the 2009 on my 2008 TXC, it definitely does not fit.

If I remember correctly you can buy the stock mid pipe from a 2009 and make it work...

Off topic but another question- after a ride this past weekend bike was loaded in the truck. Well you know how you sometimes look at stuff you normally wouldn't when it's up higer in the back of the truck. Anyway I was feeling around on my exhaust (08 te 510) and right where the two pipes come out of the head, those pipes I am able to wiggle a little. Not much, but they do move. Is that by design or are my springs weak perhaps?

hey can anyone help me. i just purchased a txc 450 2008 and stumbled across this forum and now im worried.I need a slip on exhaust as the previous owner tried a wheel stand and failed denting the muffler pretty bad. There was a pipe advertised that said it would suit a te, tc and txc are they all interchangeable on the 2008's?The reason i ask is cause i have seen more pipes for the other to models and nothing for mine. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

forgive me im not the most mechanically minded person, would the te muffler retard the performance of a txc, not exactly sure how it all works. thanks for the quick response.

I know this is definitely old, hahah, but I have a 2008 Te450 and I'd like to get an fmf for it. Are you actually certain that the 09' Txc250 pipes fit the 08' 450/510's or was it just a possibility that it might?
    Best Regards!

One of the guys in my club was sponsored by Motoxotica years ago. He had a 08’ TE450 with the FMF pipe on it. I had to ask how the hell he got it to fit since they don’t offer anything for the 08’. Everything bolted up with the 08’ midpipe. I always wanted to try it, but my arrow pipe is still in good shape.

I see, that’s good news! The pipe that came with my bike when I bought is in pretty bad shape, looks like the previous owner spray-painted it, but it’s now flaking off, and the kick-stand looks to have repeatedly slammed up into it. I’m currently rebuilding the bike, dropped the frame off for powdercoating yesterday, so a new exhaust would probably be the icing on the cake! :)
