• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I added a nut to the disc side because I messed up the threads in the swing arm. The othe side.

Ok I see they are captured in place by the threaded adjusting bolt which in turn is integrated with the block. Unfortunately the alignment markings do not seem to align with anything as the OEM swingarm ones are designed to align at the rear of the OEM block (in this case the ZTR block is round at the rear).

There's a full kit as well. When I stop by the shop, they are usually making these up on their press. I have seen others on the market, but non as pretty. I don't have them on mine yet, but when I do, I will stamp alignment notches on my swing arm to match these.

Can you explain the pointer and alu rod piece and pin? I guess the the black piece with the off-set split cylinder is a quick pull axle fitting.

The little thin pin is for if you have a Zip-ty shark fin, it goes through the small hole on the axle block to link the two together. The pointed round slug goes in the threaded end of the axle so that when you pound your axle out, you mushroom your threads. The larger round pin is used to pound the arrow shaped pin in.

You can measure and use a stamp chisel carefully to make set markings on your swing arm, this will help with the chain tension.

You can purchase these and other Zip-ty products from the Cafe Husky sponsors in the sponsor section of CH. :)
