• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yesterdays ride on a Euro GP style MX track...

last open weeeknd of the year for this fun track so we headed out there. Great people that run this track and are the same people that run the 24hr race I had pix of here. Just a play day, great fun, great track, great friends...

Hard to get pix of the tack as it is huge and has a big GP loop (9 miles?) that is super fun. The MX has man made jumps where the GP loop is all natural terrain.

Jake on his new TXC250 on which he proceeded to hand all us 450 riding fools our asses on. Amazing how fast he is on the TXC250. I should have never let him in on the whole husky thing. :D

Yay!! Eddieville!! :applause:

I loved that place! Raced there twice and brought home 2 trophies, a
1st and a 2nd. Wouldn't mind racing there again someday.

On a more somber note, I must say I feel really sorry for you, Kelly. You never get to ride much, and you never get to take very many good photos...

Looks like a really fun track. kinda sucks getting whooped up on by some one on a smaller bike huh. there is a 14 year old girl here on a kx 100 that puts a severe beat down on everyone in our crew on an mx track.

Jake is a very skilled rider and took his wifes KX100 out for a lap, he ripped on it and stayed right with the group. Crazy. I was about to fall off my bike laughing. This was right after another bro looped his CR500. Fun day.

I raced my 125 both times out there and it was a total blast! I basically kept it dialed up to 11 all day and never had any "moments" because of it. It was huge fun to be able to use every one of my available cc's without rocketing into trees or anything. Small displacement bikes are a whole lot of fun.

There was an '08 TXC 510 at the track Thursday night....

It was the smoothest, quietest non-dramatic bike/rider circulating the track. It was clearing everything, all the doubles, trip's and the giant table. No effort. No bottoming etc. I was dumbfounded how a trail bike could do that- even if the rider was of uber-caliber.

Wow-

I SHUDDA GOT A TXC 510.....:banghead:

;)

My LTR / TXC suspension continues to impress. 4-5 clicks stiffer from my woods settings is MX bliss. Amazing. Never have I had a bike so versatile. I think part of the magic is the long but aggressive bottom out needle valve which allows woods soft but retains bottoming resistance. Jakes 08 TXC250 has one of the best stock suspensions I have ever tried. The 510 is a brute, should clear everything EZ.

To be fair there was a CR500 and a 250 smoker in there too. I was fully expecting you to come blasting past me. I have no idea why I felt so good out there Saturday, it must have been the 2 laps I rolled around behind the girls in 1st gear. I had some extra energy to burn.:D The TXC250 impresses me every time I throw a leg over it.:applause:

The lap on the KX100 was pure stupidity, huge fun though. :busted:

Later,

that track is awesome.

Motosportz,,my ears are open about the clicker settings (Les says he is in work this week)

great photos good reports.

...yeh, yeh, yeh......whatever.

I'z gots yer long and agressive bottoming out thingy right here, pally. :busted:

Just PM me a price for some .50 fork springs and anything stiffer than 5.0 in the rear for my TC so I can stop draggin' the frame rails everywhere I go on this thing. :D

My bike hates me and is trying to kill me!

For some reason I was riding really cautious Saturday. That aside even had I hung it all out I'm not sure I could have caught you, you were railing. I actually was feeling really good on clearing all the jumps though, I usually puss out on a few but just did a few laps and measured them up and went this will be EZ and did it.
