• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

WTB 04 4 stroke throttle and cables (Mikuni)

I have a redone 04 mikuni carb off a 2004 450 4 stroke (only year they came with that carb) and want to try t on a Yamaha TT500 and need the throttle and cables. Whatcha got?

I bought the bike for $250 so I don't want to put a $400 carb on it. Have a Halls reworked 04 husky 4 stroke carb laying here doing nothing and want to try it. I do have a 4 stroke Lectron here and might go that route too but want to see if I can find a throttle because i will not use that carb for anything else.
 
I have a throttle/cabe setup thst should work, can't ship till Monday though. Is the 36mm Mik big enough for the TT500?

Mine is a 41mm for a 450/510. I have had it a long time and it is doing nothing so thought i would give it a shot if I could find a throttle. I knew you had one but figured you wanted to keep it if you ever went back to your old carb or wanted to sell it as a unit. Let me know, interested. Absolutely no hurry as this is bike has a long ways to go.
 
The throttle/cable that I have in mind is actually from a KTM Duke I used to own. It came with a Mik CV carb. I'll compare it with the TE250 setup before I send it to you.
