• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So I went through the parts on halls cycle. And when I ordered my part. I didn't even look at the shape of the motor case cover. So I ordered the wrong gasket. But upon inspection. It looks like the 125 cc gasket fits. But the clutch cover says it's a 250 cr. How can I figure this out and resolve my problem before I call them back and cause a commotion.

post a picture of your clutch cover and the gasket you ordered..
the 250-500 82-88 are all same gasket

Red is what it should look like black is what it does look like. I ordered it from the parts catalog. But it's not the right shape. I don't know what's going on because the case says its a 250 but the gasket looks like it should be a 125

Dude.....that is because it is a 125 motor u got there. I don't care what the cover says. 5 Cylinder fins is a 125. 6 fins 250

looks like a 80 or 81 motor, is the a serial number on the center case near the kick starter???

give us that and that should help

looks like an 83 125 and someone replaced the clutch cover with what goes back many years from 83 (on the 125 only) 83 125 was still non primary kick!

not a 250 for certain

Ok thanks guy. The guy said it ran like a 250. I only paid 300 for it so I'm not worried at all. Thanks for all the help. I have it sorted out and I'm gonna order the 125 gasket.
