  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR300 wheels/hubs

hey guys, first time posting here, long time lurker since I bought my 11 WR300 last year. Turns out I grabbed it off a fellow member who bomb proofed her well.

In any case, I'm looking to buy a set of wheels for her. Long story short the rear hub is destroyed. Started looking for that which will run about $280 for the hub only. Got to thinking and the rims are pretty dented/nicked so I might as well look for another set and use the old ones as spares.

I did a LOT of searching and didn't come to any conclusive evidence. It looks like the warp9's may fit but require custom spacers? Any help/info/links would be greatly appreciated. I just tore her down to the frame so she starts getting powder coated next week!

I've got a set of warp 9 wheels on my 07wr and am very happy with them. I am using the stock spacers with mine just make sure they send you the "2 stroke" wheels with the correct offset.

The sprocket offset is 5mm more narrow on the 2 stroke wheels than the 4 stroke wheels. Warp9 does make specific 2 stroke husky wheels. The fronts are all the same.

Thanks guys!

WVdag - do you ride primarily off road? How have they held up?

I ride mostly heavily wooded single track and hare scrambles. Worried about dents.

Yes the first set they sent, rear anyway, I'm sure was for a 4 stroke. I sent it back and they sent the correct 2 stroke specific rear and all is well. Very nice wheel set IMO.

Thanks, just placed an order with them, Black wheel, Red hub, silver spokes. Good guys over there. Once I get the wheels I'll take them with the triple clamps and clutch/stator covers to get them anodized the same color. Then everything goes out for powdercoat.
