  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR250 Graphics?

Jhunter

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have 2008 WR250 that needs a fresh look. Without killing the budget, does anyone recommend a graphics company or a prepackaged set of graphics? Getting custom a made kit looks confusing and a lot of work. I'm looking to do the following: Front fender tip, Top of rear fender and both upper radiator shrouds. Thanks

DeCal Works is the best I have used and have lots of options.
https://www.decalmx.com/

They def have the best website and I like a couple of their designs. Am ordering plate backgrounds and numbers, so signed up and customized my stuff. The style I chose is $69.95, went to check out and cheapest shipping is $21.50! So 69.95 becomes $91.45 which I think is a lame sales tactic. After shopping around some more don't see anything better or that I even like much short of full custom. I thought of just ordering a bunch of backgrounds and numbers, but they've got that stuff overpriced too.
Then within minutes of signing up at DecalWorks I started receiving spam, 8 different ones so far. Not happy, but they do have the best semi-custom choices and the interactive customizing is the shitz.

But a big  for their biz practices.

Matt at Avik make it look like a new one

I've seen the graphics Ajax uses first hand. They look factory and get plenty of abuse testing.

All three of my Husqvarnas are sporting the Decal Works.
And they look good too. I went ahead and ordered from them, so far I've received 18 different spam emails to a formerly spam-free account. The only difference being I registered at Decal Works and like I said it started within minutes, I was still customizing when the spam started rolling in. So I would say, currently, as soon as you register there your info is "shared". Meaning sold to a mailing list and it's totally rip off scams like pet insurance and repair your driveway in 15 min. Gonna' sign in and complain when I can be arsed.

Bleah. I don't think that I have ever had that problem there. Must be something that just happened lately. Read their privacy policy.:excuseme:

dirtdame do you tie the back wheel down on that tow hitch bike carrier? just wondering what stops the bikes arse end from bouncing off & getting dragged sideways down the road?

No, I don't. I have never had a bike bounce loose on the road except for once in 8 years, and then it was the front end that got loose first.
