  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st WR suspension torque values. Please!

PC.

Husqvarna
AA Class
I'm in the midst of stripping, cleaning and greasing the suspension components. I got the headset and wheel bearings done. Just the tough ones left now.....

anyway, does anyone have a manual and is willing to advise me of the torque values for a few bolts?

I'm looking for values for the following:
steering stem/triple clamp nut (big one under bars)
Front axle nut
triple clamp fork holders
Swingarm bolt
rear axle bolt
upper shock bolt
lower shock bolt
the linkage bolts

This is for a 09' 300, but any recent WR manual should do the trick. I dont think torque values will differ from bike to bike. If they'd make a service manual for the bike I'd buy it. In the meantime I've got to beg.

Any help is appreciated

I was able to acquire a few pages from the 09' WR250/Wr300 manual that contain torque values for all fasteners. If anyone is in need of a torque value then just ask.

Many thanks to the person who provided it :notworthy:

Are the '09 WR250/WR300 service manuals on CD available yet?

Does anyone know if Hall's has them yet?

I have an '08 service manual CD that covers all the Husky models,...but frankly the torque specs, as well as a lot of other pertinent info is rather sketchy and difficult to locate and interpret.

Personally I'd much prefer a paperback book style service manual that I could keep in the drawer of my shop workbench.
Having to run back and forth from my shop to the computer to scroll up and down on glitchy twitchy Adobe Reader and print stuff off just further infuriates me if I'm already having a hard time with something anyways!:smashpc:

Can you still get a service manual in book form,...or is that a thing of the past? :excuseme:

I have a hard copy of the pages and no scanner, so I'm unable to post anything right now. I'll work on getting the data to a usable format and getting it posted.

In the meantime feel free to ask.

tight but not too tight, hope this helps..just kidding.steering stem is usually overtightened so bars don't move freely without input with bike tilted slightly.
