  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello everyone. I have a simple question, can 2 stroke eat oil from the bottom engine? like if sealing would be gone ? and how can i know ?
I have problem now since i made a mistake with oil mixing, tried to start the bike, and then big bang came out of the exhaust, thats when i realised i *bit* overdone it with the oil. put a new gas there, and now its smoking as hell and iam not sure if some gas stayed in carb or its taking oil from engine... ( could the bang tear the sealing ?).

Yes, i would clean the carburator (would take time) or leave the bike running but it chokes immidietly after few seconds.

soo just a quick question, can engine oil (bottom, transmission) come to cylinder?

Thanks :)

Thank you very much .) and how could i recognize that its transmission oil please ?

Drop the tranny oil and measure it, pour it back in and start the bike.
Take the bike for a little ride like around the block.
If the bike is excessively smoking (like pouring out) from the moment you take off to say 100m, turn back and put the bike on the stand and let cool.
Drop the oil again and measure.

A better way is to do a vacuum test or leak down test, if the gauge starts to drop then the seals are gone.

Whatever the case, excessive smoke (like pouring out) from the bike is a big indication that clutch side crank seal is leaking...in fact the smell of the exhaust will be different depending on the type of 2t mix you use.

YUP ! thank you very much! looks like it will be the clutch crank seal then. its really pouring out from exhaust, that mess is everywhere and the smell is different from the oil i mix into gas. seems like that will be it, thank you very much ill have look on the clutch side crank seal then.

Unfortunately, you'll have to split the cases to change the seals.

Why?
I did remove the clutch basket and the primary drive gear to get access to the seal...

No problems with this method but personally and only my opinon, and if you have the tools and can be stuffed, l like the piece of mind of replacing the bearings and seals on both side just a because l've dissembled half the motor whilst l'm at it, might as well do the bottom end - that tranny fluid has entered the bearing, for how long and often you change tranny that's the question, but the tranny oil is contaminated with clutch fibres and possibly metal flakes all mixing about in your bearing.

oh damn, i hope not, i had that engine splitted 3 months ago soo i could stuff in a new con rod and the bearings are completely new.... what an timing. Well lets see then and hope nothing bad happend, thank you very much .)

Yup just go in the side screw a self tapper in the seal hoick it out and put a fresh one in, i had too do this on a rebuilt motor with only 4 days running on it as i put the seal in squiffy. My bad its fine now tho, be very careful not to damage the crankshaft where the seal runs Euro1215

Just drain the trans. oil and ride it no further than around your house 1 time and you should notice a huge difference in smoke. Actually you will notice a difference when you start it and warm it up also.

Yeeep..... didnt last too long, Three months. Do i need original one guys ? They say everywhere that even unoriginal lasts the same. Maybe bad coincidence?

i wonder if there are some special specifications for the sealing, like does the color matter ? and which one exactly should i buy ? thanks guys

A nitrile oil seal will be fine you can pick one up for a few euros, the key is instillation if its even slightly out of square then it will last no time.

No problem Euro.
How do you like the torque of the 360?
Any questions parts help for the 2000's 360 just pm i get alerts via email so will be quick to respond.
