  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc WR 300 Radiator Braces

Husqvarna
I've looked and looked and cannot find any good radiator guards/braces for this bike. I have always used Devol guards on my other bike but they don't make any for the 300. This past weekend I was riding and had a real stupid wreck. Slow speed, front tire washed out on top of a berm and I went down on the left side. It bent the radiator back 2" on the bottom. I was able to bend it back but it got me to looking at the way the shrouds are mounted only to the radiator and no support to the rear like all the bikes I've had before. I have some Devol guards from a KTM450 I sold before buying this WR and I can modify them a bit to get them mounted to the radiator but the rear support won't tie into anything. I'm going to see if I can rig something up but am interested in suggestions or to see what you guys may have done for this.

Thanks.

The 7602 braces are nice as are their other WR300 parts. I've got a set on the shelf waiting to put on the bike. Also waiting for enough pre-orders for another run of their WR250/300 clutch covers with a oil level site glass. Need 20, only have 18 so far. Those are super nice!

Braces are stout and I'm sure they'll keep my radiators free from damage for years. They look great too. Plus, they sponsor this site, and I like helping businesses that help keep this place running.

My friend just put those on a brand new bike. He dented one of his radiators within a couple of rides because they do not have any side impact protection.

I bought braces from Kelly (Motosportz) when I had a 300. They were (and still are) stout and still in use to this day.

7602 it is. Looks like the best option for braces/guards combo. I am in Colorado, and so is 7602. They are back-ordered now but they will put my name on a set. Thanks fellas.
