  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm picking up mine Fri... but I am a bit confused. Does husky include a headlight & tail light? I have seen pics of both.

Which year? If it's a 2012 then the answer's no, no headlight or tail light (at least that's how my 2012 WR144 came).

I got a 2012 and it came with headlight and part of the taillight, speedo and misc. part's. Box had been opened prior to me getting it and guess part's were taken.

I came off of a TM450. I hope you are as satisfied with your 144 as I am with mine! I wanted to do this about 3 or so years ago. Paid for one, was waiting for the crate to come in and Husqvarna wouldn't release it due to power valve issues! Got my money back, but what a waste of time getting to the promised land!

I drove 10 hours down to Halls last Saturday to buy my son a CR125 and ended up having them throw in a WR 125 as well - drove another 10 hours home, caught crap from the wife, and still knew I made the right decision when I fired it up at 6:30am on Sunday.

Mine came with the headlight and speedo in a box - perhaps I will give Enduro racing a chance.

Get the bike...

My 2012 WR125/144 came with a headlight, tailight and funky speedo but I now have the CR ignition and took them off.

Hmmm, sounds weird. Some come with & some don't. My dealer is checking but at this point it seems no one really knows if it is supposed to or not...???

Anyone know how to hook this stuff up?? Is it hardwired, I didn't get any switches?

...I'm working on getting some pics...

No switches. Start by removing the tank and seat. You will find a male plug coming off of the magneto wiring that plugs into the lighting harness. The yellow wires are ground and the blue wires are power. There is a large plug that attaches to the bogus speedo unit. The pickup for that will screw into the front brake caliper and the cable is routed up the brake hose. Beer helps.

From what i can tell the 12s did and the 13s didnt. I was hopeing to be able to get the factory set of lights as a kit instead of one piece at a time,i have not found it offered.

Some 2012's did, others did not...mine did not. I found a complete oem headlight assembly, an Acerbis X-LED taillight/brakelight, tusk rear hydraulic brake switch and a TrailTech Endurance II computer...but my bike is not wired. There are 2 wiring harnesses available and Im not sure which one I need. Was thinking if someone out there got a 2012 with a light kit they could shed some light on which harness I need.

WRE is street legal outside the US, so it will have the full harness-turn signals, hi/lo beams, horn, ignition, taillight, brakelight, etc. Im wondering what the other harness has connections for? Cant find a diagram for either
