• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

WORCS/WHS Olympia

I took the class win in 30+A on my txc450. It was a great course and a beutifull facility. I got to talk with Glen for about twenty minutes, he is a very cool guy and seems to have a real passion for the Husky brand. His 300 sounded crisp, best sounding 2-stroke Ive heard in a long time, I got a real good sense of it when he laped me:doh: Glen said he wants to race the new 250 4 stroke next year and that the bike has the potential to win the pro class against all bikes big and small.

I got to redeem myself on a real hare scrambles course after the ass whipping the WORCS boys gave me last month. I streched out my points lead a little more and I feel very good about going to Utah at the end of the month:)

great job!! will you make the trip to glen helen? will be there for the whs portion of the combined event.

Yes, I will be going to Glen Helen. Not realy looking forward to it though since it will be WORCS format. Ive never been down there before so It might be cool. What kind of course can I expect? Any suggestions on tires?

For Glen Helen,,,I think most will be riding the standard outdoor MX rubber, like Dunlop Geo Max MX51s or Bridgestone M403/404 combo
Hopefully they will run us all through the hills like the last SRA GP I did. I think they will. In this case the Nat track will be used as well as rocky flat sections, at least one sand wash with scattered rocks and some other harder ungraded climbs and descents. I think any good quality intermediate terrain tire combo is the best bet. I may try the new Dunlops, I have been on Michelins for the last year or so M12 or S12 front with an AC10 rear. For my taste the Huskys work better with the thinner designed front tires, I tried using the fatty style M403 all my KTM friends use and did not like it at all. I think we can ask Tim HuskyT what is the standard GH tire choice as well, he is up there alot. PS Just ride your own race, you are hitting the WHS A class hard!!! I will be doing the same in 40B!! Been doing alot of track riding for prep. Hope to see ya there, R
