  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

One of the reasons I just purchased a 2012 TXC 310 is for the electric start. I was reading through the "Quick Manual" and it states on page EN-12 Engine start number 4) ****When starting with an already warmed up engine DO NOT USE the starter.
What the heck is up with that? Are you really only supposed to use the e-start for a cold engine?
My 04 TE450 did not state that in the manual.
Thanks,Chris

Can only think something got lost in translation, I've never even used the kick start on my x-lite.

Put some pics up of you FS570 just love those to bits. The last of the true supermoto's.

They are referring to the starter lever on the left grip.

It acts KIND of like a choke, but since it's not a carb, it's not a choke.

On carb bikes the red handle is a HOT starter, but on x-lite it's a coldstarter. I think it just raises the RPM a bit.
Works great here in Sweden now with lots of snow and -8 Celsius...

This was already covered when the 11 bikes came out and it IS referring to the Red cold start lever.

Thats some cold riding ... You bundle up and go for it?

Do you ride any off the main highways in that kind of weather?
Only riding enduro tracks for practis and competion. very much snow this winter and since the pic was taken about 1 feet more snow..
