  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

As i get older i'm beginning to wonder how many more years i've got left in the saddle. I'm 44 and still riding competitions and collecting trophies. You?

I don't race but l know of plenty of 'Vets' over 40, that are still racing and winning trophies...if your body is in good shape then you can ride for years!!!
Wonders of modern knee, shoulder and back surgery:thumbsup:

56 and still racing the Nationals But then at the so Cal National the guy next to me was 72 and still one fast old guy
Out of 400 guys on the line a good 50 year old can finish in the top 30 guys in there 40 are in the top 10
so it is never to old to ride

This weeken is King of the Moto and that one has me really woried.I have been out testing riding some of the trails from last year and hope I can at least make a few of the hills come race day.I am down to 12/52 with a super sticky trails tire.I have gone places with that set up I never would have thought possable

Hell, I didn't start racing until 42 and at 46 now, I feel like I'm just getting started!

56yrs old just got a used 125 and having a blast again, I think I am done with the 4 strokes!
Going to start racing again next month( the 125 ) after about a 3 year lay off from racing. I was not having fun on the 4 stroke and almost gave up riding until I was talked into giving it one last go on a 125, I am so happy that I did.
Not sure what mods to do to it I ride mostly moto but I am thinking the Lectron carb and Scalvini pipe is all I need. I weight only 135 so it think the carb pipe combo should be good for me.

I think that combo would be sweeeet on a Husky 125.

I'll b 55 in May & still bouncing off of trees, lol. The Master (50+) class in FL have some of the biggest lines for the weekend. A, 20-25 bikes, B 25 -35 bikes & C (what I ride) has 30-40+ bikes on the line for most weekends. The 66+ class usually has 8-10 guys & you better not get in their way, they don't have the patience to wait for you to move over  Just get out there, race YOUR pace & have a blast...........

I'm 45 and feel younger some days but feel older most of the others LOL, I will ride until they take my bike away or I forget where I put it:oldman:! You're only as old as you feel, keep feeling young every-one:cheers:

56 and a good 90 minute bushride today in 5" of snow-trophies are good but it's really about the sweat distilled organic dopamine

A friend of mine, Helmet "Speedy" Clasen from Canada by way of Germany is at least 77 or 78 years old now and just starting to slow down racing.
I'm 57 and just moved from the A50+ class in Enduro to the A200 class. Have been in process last 6 months getting my shoulders rebuilt and replaced. I'm not ready to quit.

I,m also 50 and soon to be 51 and my choice of weapon is the WB 165 and I have no problem getting motivated to get up sunday morning and doing 35 miles + on tight single track. There is a 57 year old guy out on the same loop that A riders in there 20s &30,s can,t run with, this guy is a freak of nature,he is extra fast .
