• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who is the Cafe Husky member that follows racing the most?

I am a racing freak. I visit offroadchampions.com daily along with cycle news web site. I also look at thumpertalk for info.

I like all off road racing but mostly follow US National enduro, GNCC, WORCS, and WEC.

I grew up racing MX so I follow the nationals almost religiously. Usually listen to them live while working at the shop. SX and the GP's I follow as closely as possible, but not as close as the nationals. I follow amateur MX fairly closely too. I check in every week to see what is going on with WORCS, GNCC and other offroad series.

I try to keep up with Formula 1 and Moto GP too.

I pretty much follow most two-wheeled racing and being able to DVR and watch a lot of it these days makes it pretty easy to be a fan of all of it. I remember being a kid and only getting to see one or two races on TV a year and that was it (USGP at Carlsbad, Saddleback, or wherever it was). My main interest lies with mx and off-road series because that is what I do, but I also follow road racing here and abroad. My buddy is Netra Enduro champion again so I follow that series pretty close. I am at virtually every major event in the northeast (MX Nationals, GNCC, WEC when it came) and if I'm not out riding I'm watching something I've recorded, which could be GNCC, WORCS, WEC, MXGP, USMX Nationals, Canadian MX Nationals, Supercross, Endurocross, WSBK, MotoGP, Supermoto, Hillclimb . . .what have I missed?

I really miss the World Speedway rounds they televised a couple years ago on OLN I think it was. Not being able to watch DAKAR was a big disappointment.

I can't say I follow racing more than the next guy, but as far as my wife is concerned I do it too much already. :busted:

Had you & Norm in mind when I started this thread

Guilty as charged! I was too shy to post myself. I was hoping Fabrizio Azzalin would put in a good word for me!:D

WEC is the tonic for me but you cannot beat the competition and excitment of the canadian national MX series either. some top guys but never a repeat "blowout" like the US SX or even nationals.
