• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who is going to the ISDE Reunion Ride, what are you riding?

Husqvarna
AA Class
I am trying to get a Evo Husky to ride this event, but will probably ride a 78 PE250 if I cannot find something soon. Who else is going and what bike are you bringing?

I will be there Saturday. No riding for at least a week or two per Doc, so bringing the cameras.

Drew, Chuck, Joe ,

Have fun at the ISDE this weekend & i'll expect a full report ..

Husky John

Epic to say the least.
All the vintage bikes as well as the whole flair and environment for all who can never make it to the big show.

A short straight and taking the inside line.....the little 83 125.....who says the older Husky 125's were anemic must have a problem with their right wrist..sure you have to ring the guts out of it but thats where a 125 is happy

Open clutch Surgey with Fred Hoess

Fred went on to take the overall with Geoff Ballard in 2nd and Drew Smith in 3rd O/A for the weekend. What a hoot the expert moto was. 50 year old pros on 30+ year old bikes made for some great battles.

Drew had destiny calling and rode a tried and true old friend of his past.....a PE and skunk striped helmet (way cool)

Drews smile tells it all! One of the most fun times ever on a dirt bike. Have not had this much fun and smiles since the days of cutting 3 lawns a week to get money for gas and suzuki CCI or Spectro to ride the 75 all week during the summer as a young pup! Really brought back the true spirit of why we do this and days of yore and the passion and the outright fun.
Tulsa in 2014. Run....dont walk to get a vintage scooter and get it done to be there in 2014 as the 20th anniversary of the 2nd Six days in USA.
