  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

white upper radiator shrouds in the US

Special Ed65

Husqvarna
AA Class
I got a new black IMS tank for my 2009 TE450 and I'm going to put my stock (red) shrouds on the tank. After looking at the bike I though white shrouds might look cool. After doing a lot of googling I could only find the white ones outside the US and only in full plastic kits. Does anyone know of a source in the US that I could buy white upper radiator shrouds?

Ive been looking too. Hall's had one side a while ago, like $60 a piece. I can get the part numbers tomorrow.

You might try test fitting the red ones first; it could save you some grief. IIRC, somebody had a lot of drama fitting the shrouds on an IMS tank.

good luck.

I could not find any at Hall's and I have my red ones trimmed up and they Line up well. I will use the red ones if I can find any white ones at a decent price.

I feel like I got my last set of white from Bills.
They order a bunch at a time. I put my name on the list and they called me when they came in.
Give them a try!

Same here. Supplies were limited and trickling in, but worth the wait.

The 250/450/510 got new frames in 2008 but they were not down sized like the x-lite stuff which is just plain smaller when you put them side by side. The 125/150 did get updated smaller frames in 2009 and they are related to the x-lite 250/310 frames and much of that plastic can be swapped. It should be noted the 2010 250 is an x-lite chasis but the 2010 310 is not.

Ahh righto I'm a little off the pace with my 4ts cheers for clearing up.

Just to clear up-10 was first year of xlite motor(tc250), 11 for te250 xlite motor & 13 for red head(12 for tc250)?

I thought the 450/510 was same frame as 250/310 but guess not as never got the small block motor! Looks similar frame & bodywork similar too

OK here we go there limited 09 TC 250 x-lites only available in Europe. The 250/310/450/510 did share the same frame in 2008 and 2009 with the exception of the 09 TC 250. In 2010 the 250 became a x-lite but the 310/450/510 remained with the same frame. In 2011 the 310 x-lite was added and the larger bikes became the 449/511.
