• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Unless they have it on the shelf (Very unlikely), best call a dealer up there now so they can order it from PFG (importer), then cross your fingers and hope it gets here this year.....

At double the price of say, the USA.

For those part#'s you posted... AUD for here, USD for US (obviously)

Pipe; AUS $602, US $360.
Bash Plate; AUS $325, US $205.

Welcome to the Australia tax.

Double would be an accurate estimate.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. We get absolutely rammed in the deposit box for motorcycle related items here. Even if you consider that some parts are sourced from a 3rd party outside of the USA, they are still heaps cheaper from the US?

Very little incentive to buy in Australia, first the costs are way overpriced, and secondly you get better customer service from the US (it is not hard to beat when it can be non-existent here!). When you make an enquiry to some businesses in Australia you feel as if they are doing you a favor when you are trying to give them your money.

Yeah too right there Duggoey. Australia has a huge problem with stuck up sales people. Its like their doing us a favour by asking us if we need help. last time i looked that was their job.

Thanks for the price Caiman, think i may wait for my next US or Europe trip. No offence but a bit pricey.

cheers

Thanks for the links Coffee :) much appreciated. getting Husky parts online can be enough of a headache to make me want to buy a Honda :D
The only parts I have ordered so far is the stabiliser from Motosportz which was pretty effortless considering what I go through with other companies just trying to get a email reply :S

Just ordered the front pipe and silencer from Halls in the US. 430 coins with shipping.
Procircuit Platinum pipe giddyup :)

Second the thumbs up for Trooper Lu, bought some pipe guards for TE 449 from them, they were actually a US made carbon fibre guard from Pirie Performace Products, arrived quickly, well packed and VERY well priced considering, and they know how to run an online business (like keeping good communcation with their customers).
