  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where To Get A New Txc250/310 Stator?

durtkillon

Husqvarna
AA Class
One of the coils on my stator is a complete open. As a result, my bike will run, then die as I watch my battery voltage drop. I verified that I get 0.6 ohms between coil 1 and 2, but coil 3 is a complete open.

I checked Motosport for part number 8538730, which is the same stator for the TXC250/310 and TE250/310. The TC versions appear to have a lower output stator, which is available.

Does anybody know where I can get this stator? Are they NLA?

Thanks!

MZee just picked up one last week for around $200 new off of ebay. You're not finding them at normal retail parts houses?

motosport has 'em maybe (they claim 2-day availability $210):

AOMC

Thanks Trenchcoat. There was nothing on ebay for that part number. I tried Motosport, but when I put the part number in, it does not return a search. Your link works just fine, however. Wierd.

I just ordered one from AOMC after I posted this. I should have waited! Motosport was $12 bucks cheaper. We shall call that stupid tax.

So an update on procuring a stator. I called AOMC, Motosport and even emailed some places in Europe. Stators are back-ordered everywhere with no ETA. I did, however find one at Halls. I friggin love those guys. I should have checked the sponsors first.
