• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So I thought I would post up the differences between 2 stroke and 4 stroke wheels. They swap back and forth the only difference is the thickness of material where the sprocket mounts. As you can see in the pics the 2 stroke is 5mm thinner than the 4 stroke hub. The only issue is the offset of the sprocket of course. No biggie but this can be easily changed. Also you will need to adjust the lower chain guide in or out depending on which wheels you are swapping. Now I purchased a set of talon hubs a while back and figured something out. I asked talon if they had a 4 stroke or 2 stroke specific hub. They said no they work on both. Now the only way this was achieved was to make thickness at the sprocket 2.5mm thicker than the 2 stroke hub and 2.5mm thinner than the 4 stroke hub. 2.5mm is hard to notice when you put the wheel on and look down the chain. Once my new wheels arrived and I measured. Sure enough they were roughly 12.5mm. And just for reference a nickel is about 2mm. The thickness at the sprocket is the only difference that I know of. And I have put 4 stroke wheels on a 2 stroke and vice versa. I hope someone finds it useful.

Also this is for 2004-2010. My friend has a 2011 on the way so I will take pics and measurements when it arrives. I am told the 4 stroke hubs are only 3mm thicker than the 2 stroke hubs which have not changed. So they are 13mm and the 2 stroke hubs are still 10mm
