i idle em for about 30 seconds and then ride but never put them under too much load for till they get a chance to build up heat. you guys probably do it better giving it longer but i can never wait that long.
i hate to say changing your oil will help this issue but ive been running the klotz super techniplate 80% syn 20% castor a long time. smells awesome and has proven reliable to me. maxima also makes a syn/castor blend that many like. klotz makes a straight castor based oil called benol but its mostly racing only and is intended for more frequent teardowns but helps produce max power and max protection. alot of micro sprint racecars in my area use benol in their cr250 powered cars as castor blends with many fuels easily including methanol. man that is rich stuff, i would not run that in my bike.
many of its properties are over my head but castor does some interesting things when exposed to high heat and pressure.
Yep same for me, Start the bike on choke while doing up helmet and pulling gloves on at a push, Flip choke off and off I go to my local riding spot thats around 2 miles away and stick to the speed limits 30 and a 40 mph zones, Always put a finger on the rad top on arrival just to make sure alls ok then ring its poor neck down the farmers lane, sometimes turn around and go back for another run just to smell the trail of castor Ive left behind me
