• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What is the funniest (is that a word?) thing you ever did to a guy on and ATV? Or dirt bike?

Just thought back to one time when I was riding, I came to this nasty mudhole(swamp). I saw away around it and took it. I knew there were 4-wheelers behind me, so I took my bike to the shortest point real quick and backed the bike up to the edge of the water and sat there. When a guy on a wheeler show'd up he saw me and I flagged him on! Funny he submerged and watered out his ATV right in front of me. Needless to say I did not stick around!! Another time in Akeley MN, I was on a Husky 125 (on the powerlines) I stopped and talked to the proud owner of a new Big CC 4 x 4 ATV. I said have a good day and took off. Had to go through a sort of swamp. Ha! I made it look easy! At the end of the day I found out the guy tried to go through the same spot and watered out his new wheeler and had a wrecker pull him out**************************************** Another time on a 125 Husky again 1996 I believe. I went through a nasty slew and was waiting for 3 of my buddies. Um, not good all 3 of them buried not 40 feet from me. Not calling me nice names, I must add! But they were dirtbikers like me so I went in the mudhole and helped all of em out. Then there was the time.........

Me and my buddy were out riding when Ahon took a ramp the back of the bike kicked his but at least a couple feet off the bike.He was almost vertical with both hand on the handle bars.was pretty funny me and my buddy laughed so hard.Another time i was riding my sisters big wheel and took a jump and when I landed I did a hammer fist on the jewels .After that i make sure all things are properly tucked in before jumping.Hurt but definitely laughable.

What a great idea about flagging the ATV through.:D That is definetly something I will try if i get the chance. They make most of the mudholes where I come from so it would be ironic to get one stuck intentionally:thumbsup: Just a little payback.

Let's see! Once when I was riding in the coal pits in Lynnville Indiana we had these quick small up & down trails along the ridges. [something like a roller coaster only smaller]. On many of them you have to make a quick turn after getting to the top or you would end up in a small ravine or hole. Anyway I usually lead but on this one trail that I knew had a sharp right turn at the top I slowed down real quick & let my buddy pass. He went straight & ended up in a hole full of mud & water. Really funny, he wasn't hurt & I DID help him out! It was the least i could do:D Another time to the same buddy [yes we are still friends] in Lynnville again they have these huge coal beds that are flat as a pancake & go for for a mile or two. The ground is mostly coal dust & clay & when wet, watch out! anyway we were spinning our tires & making big circles, flattracking & falling down, acting like idiots like we were & i challenged by friend to a drag race. I knew with the rain we had that somewhere along the coal bed there would be bottomless mud. Well we took off & about a half a mile into it my front wheel starts sinking & I notice water in the low spots so I shut her down quick! My buddy was losing so he passes me going mach 1, looks at me grinning, turns around & burries his bike over the axles & does the perfect front flip over the handle bars, lands on his feet but is out of control & falls face 1st in a pool of mud, water & coaldust. I was laughing so hard I thought I sprung my jaw! Trying to get the bike out, we couldn't hardly stand up, much less push or pull. What an ordeal! But it was worth it****************************************************************************************************************************************************************!!

Yea! They deserve it! Funny thing is, a good dirtbiker can go through more stuff then and idiot on a 4-wheeler!

Yeah, but they usually travel in groups, get stuck a lot then pull each other out, making even bigger mudholes.
