  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Weight of TC Ti Exhaust Can?

mxer74

Husqvarna
AA Class
Can somebody please post the weight of only the Ti can off of a TC (preferably the '08 or '09), without the SA inserted. I am probably going to put a slip-on exhaust onto my TC, but I want to make sure that whatever I go with is at least lighter than the stock one. I know, a 450 already has more power than anyone needs, and just to let you know that is not why I am going to put one on. I am really bad at wanting my bike to look cool and that is simply the only reason I want to put a slip-on on. This is why I'm not messing with a head pipe because the Ti head pipe should weight pretty close to the same as an aftermarket Ti head pipe. I suspect though that I can get a can that weighs a bit less. Any of you seen that Uptite slip on exhaust he is making, that thing looks SWEET! I am curious if that thing (although it is aluminum) weighs less than the stock Ti can? See ya.

Ti can

just call george on tuesday and ask, he will be glad to talk to you. the uptite can is a good bit shorter, but i don't know what it works out to on DB's.... a bit loud. i believe PC also makes a slip on for a husky. and zip ty i believe are working with either Dr. D or ??? can't remember who else......:thumbsup:

What's a phone number for Uptite? I tried finding a website but couldn't find anything? Is there a website or not? Thanks!

I sent George an e-mail and hopefully I will hear something back. I just went and spent a couple of bucks on a pretty good digital scale......so I guess time will tell if I can knock a few pounds off.....

There are always grocery stores to weigh things in the produce section, just go ahead and wrap it up so it looks like a big cucumber

haha.....now that was funny****************************************! Honestly, the funny thing is is that has crossed my mind before.......well maybe not the cucumber part
