So tonight my son and I flushed my cooling system on my 08’ TE510 and finally got around to replacing my water pump with the high flow impeller that I bought on here back in 2015. I was explaining to my 12 year old while we were getting ready to pull the pump housing about how these are notorious for the nut on the impeller to go mia. When I pulled the housing, I was shocked to find the nut still there, and in perfect condition. The impeller was on snug and there was no marks on the housing where they typically rub against. I wire brushed the nut and inspected it closely and it’s in perfect shape. I’ve had this bike now for 10.5 years and have really only had issues with the hydraulics on the clutch side right after I got it. Once I got that dialed, this bike has been an absolute beast. These Italian big blocks really are one of the best motors ever made. SWM was smart to buy the tooling for these bikes.
