  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Vape ignition systems

Husqvarna
AA Class
Does anyone have experience with these ignition systems?

I was thinking about trying one of these for my 360, but they don't have 01-02 listed on their website. cross referenced the part numbers and all the important parts for the 01 share the same numbers with the 99 which is listed here.

would appreciate input from electrical gurus and anyone who has experience with this brand.

I know nothing about Vape
but the 360 ignition is 93-02 all the same part number
so if it fits a 99 it fits an 01

They used to be known as Powerdynamo, Penton Products, and MZB
I've got 2 Vape ignition systems on both my 1987 430's.
They are a Quality unit, easy to install, and work Great!
100 watt 12V DC out put on for lighting, retards timing for easy starting and no kick back.
I buy from them directly it's cheaper and only took a week to receive.

i guess i'm just nervous as to whether the ignition they have for a 99' will work on my 01'.

like I said, they are the same, I did this some time back
so in Huskyland the part number can change with a VERY minor revision, like color or adding a hole for a later accessory
BUT if the part number is the same, it is the SAME, so here if you still doubt is the PROOF

8000 75334 is used from 1993 to 2002 on ALL 360 models, the 92 is different

I dig it. i actually cross-referenced the part numbers before i started this discussion. you are most certainly correct. I trust you to not talk out of your ass.
i guess the next logical step is to buy it and try it.
