  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey new to the forum. I am in the market for a new ride. I can get a new wr250 for $4500 but will have to pay $500 for shipping to Vermont, but there are a few relatively local newish wr144's. What would a fair price be these days? One I am looking at is a '13 with pipe, silencer and upgraded carb, and a few other things like excell rims. It has super low miles. $3900. Seems like a good price, but it probably sold for $4200 new, and new cr125's with 144 kits are like $4100. There are a few dealers with them that I could drive to.

I've narrowed it down to these two cause love 2t's and they seem like the best bang for the buck right now. Been reading up on the wr144 v wr250 debate so I will spare the crew that question as there is plenty of info out there. It's partially a new vs, lightly used question. How much is new worth.

I will post pictures of whatever I get.

he bought that bike off a member here. if i remember correctly, i think he got it for 3K (or less)... then turned around and put it up on CL for $4,500.

congrats on the YZ. those can be made into great woods bikes. here's a cool article in Eastern Dirt you might be interested in:
