• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Update on Uptite?

Livin' It Up!
I have been giving George some space since he has had his hands full on things other than work in the recent past. Does anyone have an update on his status? Looking forward to buying one of his exhaust systems ASAP.

Just give him a call.. I talked to him a lil bit about an issue I was having a couple weeks ago... If hes got a spare minute he'll pick up the phone. :). Ya never know till you ask! :)

Hung out with him for about a half hour, forty five yesterday. Talked shop, drooled on the 520 and 350 Beta's on the showroom floor, picked up an o-ring for my slave cylinder, talked to big Jeff for a couple minutes, listened to my wife tell George I can have a Beta if I want one (I love that lady). I needed a mirror for an up coming DS ride, he didn't have any in stock (Beta uses the folding one that Husky uses) I told my wife it looks like a beta is attached to the mirror I need but none in 450 trim. Any way, he is in, answering the phone, selling bikes and parts, working on his personalized parts, filling orders and shooting the breeze. Call him, he is available...

Check. Talked to him and got some more good info. I'm wanting one of his exhausts for my 630 but the bends have been a problem to get. He is going to see if a mid-pipe from one of the competition will work with his can. Fingers crossed! I really like the looks of the Uptite, and it's smaller and lighter (I think) than any of the other options.
