• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Update on my bike

Well someone of you know might now the issue with the oil leak i had last year.

http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/brand-new-te630-oil-leak-help.19172/

Follow by a weird engine sound a few days ago.

http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/te630-strange-engine-lock-up.23566/page-2#post-229033

Well the Husky rep called me back today and said all they found was a cam gear had jumped a tooth. It was return to correct position and bike started up and ran fine.

The owner of the shop will keep and ride the bike for a few days (no problem with me) and see if it happens again. The rep will ask to also pull the automatic chain tentioner and to inspect it for any abnormalities.

Husky as a company for support has been great. When i fist called the shop i was told 3 weeks before they even look at the bike. I contact Husky just to complain about the bike in general. Well they certainly care, since my bike was on the lift the same day i drop it off.

So i want to thank Husky corporate to trying to make this right, specifically Wyatt (sorry if spelling it wrong).

That said, i still have some mix feelings with the bike and will most likely sell it once it comes back from the dealer.

Thanks to all who send advice.

That's encouraging news. All I have ever heard, including from dealers, is how un-responsive Husky Corporate is. If they want to grow the brand, and I hope they do, that's going to have to change. Of course, BMW is in the mix, and some of us know about them too; R1100's and R1150's don't surge.......... My fingers are crossed.

Well the rep has been great.

I told quite a few big wig government friends of mine and I know one of then send them a nasty gram.

The dealer actually made a comment when I dropped the bike off "maybe they'll pay me this time".

I just shook my head. Not towards him but towards big H.

I hope the BMW thing fixes the brand reputation.

One of my bikes have been in the shop 2 days short of a month now. Under warranty and no word. I talked to the dealer and they said they only ship parts on monday and we had a Memorial day monday in the mix. Sounds like they DONT have their S*+^ together if you ask me! :excuseme::thumbsdown:

I think your dealer is feeding you bullshit, Palmer. Either the part is on backorder, they stalled or forgot to order it or there's some reason they're stalling you (like they broke something and are waiting for extra parts).

+ 1 parts are only 3 days away from the dealer at any given time.

a good dealer is critical to the ownership experience.... one that doesn't care about anything past the sale will hurt the brand more than anything

Upstate Cycle in Greenville, SC is my dealer.

I walked in yesterday to ask about a new front rotor and found Gerald (the owner) in the back wrenching away on a customer's scooter :D

I've had a part on backorder for over a month and a half now. If you wouldn't mind sharing your contact"s phone number with corporate, I'd owe you one!

If you know what you need, try Husqvarnaoutlet.com. They have contact with basically every Husky dealer and can find you the parts if they exist.

Oh, you mean like: WE are the #1 KTM dealer in North America, WE just took on Husqvarna because the dealer (Uptite) no longer has a license to sell and/or work on Husqvarna's, WE don't have the tools to "split" the case (and WE broke something) trying to split it with a chisel and hammer. Yah, HNA has turned me to:

OOPS, who is that?

Wow! Seriously?!?!? Sooo they just paid for the bike??

Sorry 2-lane, and P4B (for thread jacked) No, my bike is still at 3Bro, I ordered a new bike from BYOB (because I can $$$). I have many bikes and clearing out some (rotate stock). Like my SM610 that see's no love. Just don't ride the tarmac that much. Needed a change up in bikes. :D

PB4, I hope that they sort out the problem on your bike, I am going to drop by the dealer tomorrow and "ask" what parts they are waiting for and see my bike parts bucket. They told me a week and 1/2 ago that they asked for "pictures" of the parts. is HNA denying the claim? I hope it's just parts because they need to take care of the bike regardless. #1, Bike was in its warranty period. #2, There is no way I could be at fault for the oil pump gear falling off and the head being starved of oil, no matter how many miles I road it like that. If the shifter would have never got jammed from one of the loose parts floating around, I would have never known until it blew completely.

Thanks for the hijack guys... :p

J/K.

Well it appears they narrow down the problem to the cam chain tentioner.

Bike should be done this Friday. I will update.

If you want i can ask my guy to get my the rep info for Cali and see if it can make the wheels turn a bit faster?

Sounds like bs on their part. But if you look in the Husqvarna webpage they actually have and email and phone number under contact us. Last year all they had was "talk to our dealers for any questions".

I sent and email and that got things moving.

I do biz with Gerald, funny upbeat dude. Don't know him just sell him parts but seems like a very nice guy.

I got a call today, piston on BO for an 09 TE450. Why such a simple part to be on BO? Good for you to get it done. I have to wait. HNA will not return my emails or calls, so I guess they told the dealer to call me today.
