• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Uncrating my 610TE

This my be a stupid question but what do you mean "wired up" the grip? Heated grips?

Thanks,

Eric

I usually put two strips of wire on them --then special wire - to keep them from moving when i ride in rain or muddy conditions.

Not to Forget one for the Stator Cover ---

And while i was dressing her i took off the Ally heat shields and fitted a set of Carbon one's

Also made a Bash Plate for Both the 610's this was a bit more work than i anticipated --But Fortunastely after you made one the second one becomes much Easier. Tested the other one over the week end and it stood up well ;)

Busy curing it in the oven and will post a pic ---soon

Fitted the Carbon Fibre bash Plate at Last --Decided not to polish it up but rather leave it a bit rough finished instead -- Fits like a dream -- and weighs --nothing --DSCN1972.JPG

Remove the Silly O-Ring of an excuse to the Oil filler capo and repalce it with a decent one--I have found that nearly ALL the 610TE's i have had have a problem with sweating there--

Fitted a slightly bigger one that seems to sort out the problem, nicely :)

Copy the settings for the suspension from my other 610TE to get a starting point to work from to dial the suspension in whwn i go and ride her --

Put in Fuel --check oil Radiator fluid --was a little low and just needed topping up --

Go ride her - enough of this c*ck teasing now. I have also decided that carbon fibre on an enduro bike is like fish net stockings on a hooker! - more suited to the SM IMHO (actually just pissed you will not sell me any and now gone off it). Really get over this Madonna Madness and protracted riding interuptus. :D
