  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Unadilla MX Rewind 2015

The 2015 Unadilla MX Rewind is in the books.... We had a great time racing the PV Cross Country race, then volunteered to help with scoring at the trials event on Friday, watched Vintage MX on Saturday along with the drooling over the Zundapps, Husqvarnas, Rokons, Pentons, Bultacos, Hodakas, CZs, CanAms, Maicos, all of the usual Jap bikes in the pit areas. Sunday was PV MX races for us and man was it a treat to ride the famed Unadilla course! I was smiling/laughing to the point that I swallowed some roost! LOL! The weather started off a bit iffy with rain on Friday night but turned for the best on Sat/Sund. If you have ever thought of racing this one, DO IT! It truly is a "bucket list " item! I would like to thank the Unadilla promoter and staff for running a professional event for us, it was awsome..... Also would like to thank our own Gord here on this site for letting us help with the Trials event, he did a great job on laying out the sections and the participants seemed to really enjoy themselves. I will post some pics and video in the next day or so.

Yes, Unadilla was a blast!!
I would like to thank Wade, Steve and Joe, from this forum, for stepping up and helping out with the Trials! It isn't a Trials without checkers. And it doesn't happen with out folks like you volunteering your time.
I had a blast on my 74 Can Am MX1-125 on Saturday. I never new I could spin that little 125 so high without blowing it up! It seemed the higher I spun it, the more it liked it. What a blast, and the whole time I was out there, I'm thinking of all the people who raced there in the past, on the same dirt, and nearly the same layout.
Can't wait till next year!

I'd second Unadilla is always a blast... 3 years in a row for me, meeting up with those guys I only see once a year.
Plus lots of Café Husky regulars, Drew, Gary, Joe (auto), I missed Joe Chod, as I couldn't make it Friday, but he'll chime in.

Weather on Sat & Sun was awesome, The turn out was great, 13+ moto's of full gates on track & I doubt you could have asked for it to be in better condition. Plenty of Euro machinery , Legends race & of course the chance of us mere mortals to ride this legendary track., again

As for our regular Motley crew, NO crashes, Gary recovered about a 100%, from last year, and was getting plenty of walking on his repaired knee. Good food , from Frank & Rick & plenty of pre & post race stories. Of course Texas Randy & his Wife & new this time Ed

For me & every one i talked to, it was a true weekend we'll always remember. Don't miss it next year!

Oh & yes, my daughter (the events official Café Husky photographer) took over 1700's pics.

I'll call it a 2nd place since Micky Kessler got 1st lol.Always good to catch up will Husky friends.Did enjoy checking the trials.Actually watching people ride my section might make me a better trials rider.

Here is video of race 3 moto1..... for the record, this is my first MX race in 30 years, and I really need to work on my starts! LOL!!

Skill aside, the track was really well prepped, very little dust, if any..... the traction was amazing, and the reality of racing some of the sacred ground of champions past, really puts a grin on your face:D!! The racing was clean for the most part and the overall attitude was laid back and fun.

Great Job Guys! Excellent riding and lots of hardware for the Cafe Husky crew, shout out to Joe A. who was stellar in the vintage MX! and great rides by wade, John, Joe C. and Fred H. who was OA in PV cross country!

After that start I felt like Jeff Gordon at Talladega..... starting up front and driving my way back through the pack! LOL!!

Is it just me, or did ruwfo and Frank have a freeking blast at Unadilla?
Great shots guys. Thanks for posting!

I can totally say - John and Frank had a blast all weekend. It was great to share the weekend with all.
Missed Joe this year. Hope to see more of Cafe guys next year. Thanks all on on knee and walking comments

To me its just a must attend event - bike or no bike. Frank and Rickster are Unadilla mainstays. Maybe they
are hill people from the past. Allison is getting to be more of a pro with her camera every year. John Both has no equal as
are resident vintage Husky lifetime fan this year.

See Joe you miss the weekend and you lose the title this year. Randy from Houston you got to get a Husky again to
get more pics in Cafe. We will give you a pass this year
