• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mount is stuck on top of helmet ,as this is my first camera i can't really give you a comparison .I got this camera as it was highly recommended by one of our trail riding magazines. This track is my favorite at the moment as it has a good combination of flowing & technical sections .Will try to post more vids of other tracks .:)

I have the same camera and it is great. One thing though that I noticed having it mounted on top of your helmet is that you get a lot of "shake" and you get a sick feeling watching it. I have mounted it onto the side of the helmet now and it is much better. One tip, put your phone number/name on it in case it falls off. I use some race tape as well as the velcro, just to be sure!!!
I also take it out in the fourby (4x4 for those in the USA) as I also have a windshield mount, get some great vids from there and you can stick it outside on the windows and get some great angles

I have got one of those cameras and i used it all the time whilst I was in Afghanistan and it never let me down once, so of the other boys had the Contour camera and had a few dramas with theirs when they needed it most. What I like about the drift camera is the capacity to have a extra big memory card and a bigger battery to give you more filming time.:)
