• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TXC310R just fffffin rips.

I would have also taken option B near the end of the ride. Those rock mountains : I would be scared for me and my bike! Thanks for posting it up and you three with your e-start bikes.....I'm jealous.

the friggan thing just shreds....and thats all i gotta say about that.

Pretty much what my brother said about our 310R after the first race at Eddieville, 6 Hour Team endurance....and that is after riding a 511 last year !! Bone stock power so far, FMF silencer goes on this week.

+1

My 450cc friends can't understand why I went from 510 to 310. They said it would be underpowered, I'll be too big for it, I'll get bored quick, I'll ring its neck and it will blow up.... hahaha... my 310 is the most fun bike I have ever ridden.

Yep my crew was like  when i sold my fantastic 08 TXC450 and got a 09 Wr125. Fun times.

The 2012 TXC is fantastic and if the 13 is better it is to bad they are ending the line. The KYB fork and shock are the main reason, then the motor is a close second.

What kind

What kind of skid plate is that? TM Design works?

I would have taken the hard route at the end lol it looked pretty do able! but than again I live in the east coast where nasty knarly terrain is the norm lol and we like that kind of stuff, plus I ride a 310 :p

The TXC310 just took the overall at a local race here in WA, in a 2-1/2 hour hare scramble on a sandy wide open desert course...

The bike must be slow to beat all those 450's in the pro class.

Later,

Why are they ending the 310? that makes no sense at all?

Its just speculation, but its very likely to happen. Stefan Pierer (KTM ceo) wants to use common platforms to build different brands. Husaberg's 70deg engine was discontinued last year and replaced with the KTM 350... same is likely to happen to the TE310R. Perhaps in 2015 it will be a te350.

I don't think we'll see the KTM engines in the Husky's, they've got away with it once with Berg but it would just be rediculous to try it again. I really think we'll see Husky going along a separate path, maybe R&D will be linked but end product will be different.

Unfortunately I think your wrong. The new owner says a lot of sharing and the motor is the super expensive hard to make your money back part so when he says share he means motors. The glimmer of hope is maybe he realizes how fantastic that little motor is and continues it. We will see.

Merge racing RRS were recomended to me by MikeB. They are worth the $50 and 15 mins it takes to put them in the forks. Adds plushness and traction without causing it to bottom out. I was tottaly impressed with them when I put them in. I would rate them as a must on the KYBs makes a great fork outstanding.

I kinda scared myself on my 12TXC310 last weekend. A right hander snuck up on me going too fast, so while waiting for the crash I threw it into the turn & next thing I know I'm getting ready for the next turn wondering what the hell happened:eek:

Since motor development is the most expensive part of development. It seem to me that they would take the best of what husky already has and continue to refine it ? If the development of the 14 Husky's was already done. I think we are going to see those bikes. We will know for sure in a couple months
