• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tubliss just installed

A Class
Just finished up installing my Tubliss system front and back. I'm glad the box came with extra high pressure tubes. I accidently snagged one with my tire iron when installing on rear rim. The front set right in place with no leaks. The rear had a leak by the high pressure valve and had to let the air out, break the bead, and apply lots of soapy water. Then it was good to go. I tried different set ups with the hole location. On the front tire I have the two holes located on opposite sides, this may become an issue later on. For the rear, I did what Tubliss recommended and placed the holes about four inches apart. I think that the roll of spoke tape was the most time consuming task, the whole system went together easier than I thought it would.
Took it out today and did notice a slight weight reduction. Didn't get a chance to play with different pressures. Today I had 14 font and 13 rear. I'm not going to play too much with the suspension settings right now, waiting to get some new Motoz tires and then go from there.

Get used to running lower tire pressures if you so desire especially with the Motoz rubber! The bead is good to go. (With Tubliss, I mean)

Your tubliss system came with a extra set of tubes? Mine that I ordered from Tucker Rocky last Fall did not. Don't be afraid to run some crazy low pressures, I have 4 in the rear right now.

I had to order directly from Nuetech. This is my first sponsor ever and I'm extremely happy with the service and support (extra tubes). I'm fairly new to competition as I have only raced a few times but have been riding since I was small (woods). I really wanted to get a set of Tubliss and figured why not just try to get sponsored.

I'm excited about trying different pressures after doing some searching on this forum.
Don't be afraid to run some crazy low pressures, I have 4 in the rear right now. That's awesome! Can't wait for better weather.

Mine didn't have extra highpressure tube either, nor all the stickers. Box came with a lot of stickers and flyers to pass out.

Tubliss is the bomb, I've been running 8 psi front & rear with all the muddy conditions as of late & it's worked out great**************************************** I've ridden about 12-15 times since the install

I run 5-8 PSI with tubes and Motoz, I would try 6 PSI, i think you will be amazed at the traction.

I was required to order it directly from Nuetech. Don't have the guys name on hand that handles the orders. Great people and fast shipping. Highly recommend them to anyone interested.

Thanks to everyone for insight on tire pressures. I have a month of testing different setups before my next race. 5-6 PSI sounds great! Don't get to ride all that much since I'm only a weekend warrior and this is just my hobby.

Call Neutech directly. The guys name is Jeff Douglass. He's excited about the product, as well he should be, it's great.

Tell him you heard good things on the forum from his sponsored riders. He needs feedback to see if his advertising dollars are being spent wisely.

Today I took my bike out and ran 11 PSI front and 8 PSI rear and what an improvement! Conditions are a little damp and ground is definitely saturated but not muddy. Should snow tomorrow and I'll see how she does with DOT tires.

The girls name on the order form is Heidi Douglas, must be his wife.

You can go WAY lower than that on both ends if Tubliss is there and you like what you feel. Pretty neat concept, eh?

Not muddy?:excuseme: You must live in a parking lot. I tried to ride across my yard the other day and thought I had a flat, but was actually digging a trench. I rode up to Horn mountain in Sylacauga last week, it was muddy up there also. Mud everywhere, and then add in frozen water in the 2" to 4" range. I told my wife dont be surprised if our house slides off the hill like those in California.

I live in lower Alabama and it there is a lot of sand and clay in the soil. Well it was nice until I woke up this morning and found snow every where! I don't know the last time lower Alabama had three inches of snow stick. Wish I had the day off to go and ride in it.

I can see running lower pressures in the rear (5-6), but how low do you guys run the pressure up front? Just don't want to dent a rim or anything. The lowest I have gone up front is about 10 PSI. Thanks

The inner bladder helps to keep from denting the rim. I have run my pressure down to as low as 4 in the rear and didn't dent my rims. You should definitely play with the pressures to find what you like, but I wouldn't be too worried about the rim. Personally, I don't like anything lower than 8-10 in the front because it starts to feel squirmy. It depends on the tires too...the Motoz tires that Kelly (Motosportz.com) sells work fantastic with the Tubliss set-up.

I am running Motoz with tubes at 6-7 rear and 7-9 front without issues. Buddy with tubless is running his rear Motoz tires at 4 PSI no issues. Just food for thought.

Just an aside about the Tubliss guys. I had tried to install tubliss systems in my WR 360. The tubliss for the front had been folded and the red liner was crimped and would not seal. I called the guys at Tubliss this afternoon and they sent me a replacement no questions asked.

PS. I really center punched a serious rock last Wednesday. Lost pressure in my front tubliss on my 144. A quick air up and I was good to go. It was still very slightly leaking but not enough to make any difference for a ride. It had only dropped from 12 psi to 7 psi by the time I got home to Montana. If I had slimed my tire as is sudjested this would never have happened.

I still had a few bubbles coming out around a spoke 24 hours after fitting my first TUbliss recently and the bladder was losing pressure slightly. I emailed Jeff and asked for advice and got a comprehensive reply within a couple of hours (bottom line was "go ride it" which I did and it now seems to have settled down nicely). Top quality customer support!

I've saved about 1kg rotating weight on the rear wheel which does seem to make a difference to the feel in the tight stuff. Also had much better grip but it was a new tire and the one it replaced was well worn so we'll have to see how it feels when it's worn down. I'm sure it will be better than the old tubed setup though. I'll go TUbliss on the front when that tire wears out.

I didn't get spare bladders with the TUbliss and I've had trouble getting them from the UK importer so I'll have to chase them about it as I want to keep a spare in case I damage one. I did get the stickers with the kit though.

Glad to hear that they took care of you. So the rock you hit didn't tear the through the liner? Did it just hit hard enough to smash the tire and break the bead a little? I am also going to put some slime in the tires just in case.
